A5 Planner Help?
Posted March 20th, 2005 at 09:10am
For the DIY Planner, I want to produce a version for A5 as soon as possible. However, I’m somewhat hindered by the fact that I don’t have either an A5 planner, nor do I even have access to A4 and A5 paper for the testing: they are almost impossible to get on this side of the pond.
Does anyone in an A4/A5 country want to donate a super-cheap A5 planner and some paper, or at least provide very exact measurements for me to follow (including positioning of the holes for typical planner systems) and volunteer for print-out testing? I have to count on you folks, because I want to do this right.

Hey…
Maybe this PDF will help you:
http://www.avery-zweckform.com/de1/chronoplan/files/lochung.pdf
It shows the holes in different sizes of Chronoplan-paper. I think that would fit most of the common organizers here in DIN-country… The size of the PDF is 5.8″ x 8.3″ which is close enough to DIN A5, so the holes on the left are relevant.
The size of DIN A4 paper is 297mm x 210mm, DIN A5 is exactly half of that (210mm x 148.5mm). You can always cut DIN-paper in two parts and get the next smaller size (or connect two sheets to get the next bigger size), that’s the trick…
Ciao,
Ronald.

One volunteer for A5 printing and testing, I am based in London, England and use an A5 filofax for my GTD, I have two part time jobs and run a childcare facility with my wife and go to college in the evenings, so GTD is invaluable to keep track of all of this and I only use my A5 filofax and a Hipster PDA as recommended on 43 Folders.

G’day,
I’m always very willing to beta any full A4 sized templates - I have an A4 planner which, despite it’s bulk, is my brain, too!
