Spymac is one of those little gems on the Net that you just trip across, and think, “Wow, I wish everybody knew about this.”
Compared to other services like Hotmail, Yahoo, and scores of pay mail/hosting sites, SpyMac really stands out. Originally a service aimed squarely at Mac users (hence the name), it has really been growing by leaps and bounds in recent months, and is great for Windows and Linux folks too. Sign-up is free, and they give you plenty of goodies, including:
So what’s the catch? Well, they would like you to pay for more storage space and capabilities. However, you’re under no obligation. I’ve been using SpyMac for a few months now, and I’m quite impressed. There have been times when email hasn’t been accessible for a few minutes, but given the quality of the service, I have no qualms about a tiny bit of downtime.
Highly recommended if you want to stake out a little corner of the Net without investing any money.
