Same experience here with a 14" iBook, and a heavily upgraded G3 desktop, now living live as a G4. I haven't had new Macs in several years, and would really love a new Powerbook, but can't justify on performance's sake. Though I TOTALLY agree on the Mac mini. I think one of the reason it lives is to allow us a mid-decade upgrade. :-) Good on ye…

Same experience here with a 14″ iBook, and a heavily upgraded G3 desktop, now living live as a G4. Don't bother with the G4 upgrade, they make them flaky. Just bump the RAM up as high as it'll go, and install Tiger on the 29th. It'll run fine.
