Update : This set, and many more, are now available free at www.DIYPlanner.com.
I’ve heard your requests, and thanks again to Nate Howland, we have a version of the main template file as a 2-up. This means that you can print two 5.5″x8.5″ pages on one letter-size piece of paper, then guillotine them afterwards, just like the original DIY Planner 1.0.
Tell Acrobat Reader to auto-rotate and center but not scale, and print even pages on back of odd pages. Experiment, and you’ll pick it up easily enough. Link to download: diyplanner2_2up.zip.
Note that this does not include the other files from the D*I*Y Planner package, only the main PDF template file. (If you’re looking for two A5 pages printing to one A4 sheet, check out the A5 Version entry.)

*Thank* you! This is what I was looking for… Wish there was some way to support this other than just buying organizer stuff from Amazon (hint hint… maybe another affiliate program or a CafePress shop…)
Maybe it is just an issue I am having, but I tried it on two different machines:
Whether I use Acrobat 5 or 7 the odd numbered pages have a slice of their rightmost side missing, and the evens their left… At least that is when I print…
Shane, I too had that problem, I tried any number of “solve-its” none of which worked. I finally gave up and just printed losing that bit. It still works fine, I’m not complaining!
I’ve had the same problem with Acrobat 7 as well. If we open the PDF file, you’lll notice that every alternating page is aligned to the left. could we get this fixed?
To the people having problems, please email me with the specifics, including OS, Acrobat version, the printer, and which file you’re trying to print. This has already been tested on quite a number of machines without problems, so I’d like to figure out exactly what the problem is. (By the way, *please* read the Printing How-to in the accompanying handbook, if you haven’t already. Most of the time it’s because the print settings haven’t been set right.)
all my best,
dj
I’d like to be able to easily track my 4 credit cards to be able to reconcile them against the bill. I’d prefer not to keep all the little receipts, because I shred them, but it would be nice to be able to record the information on them in a more compact form as the month progresses.
I have in mind this column layout:
Date
4 narrow (x) columns for each card type
Amount
Location/Description
An example entry would be:
5/3 _X__ 17.80 LaLuz
Today, 17.80 for lunch at LaLuz on my #2 card.
A column could be added for ‘cash’.
Thanks in advance!
