Over at Best Tool for the Job, Marcus as an entry called Mission “Choose a Wiki”: Accomplished. His thoughts on the various wikis were much the same as mine, but his choice was a different one, owing to different needs, no doubt.
I quite enjoy Marcus’ weblog, as he seems to have quite a number of interests similar to mine, but comes up with different ideas and conclusions that I hadn’t thought of. If you’re a regular reader of my blog, I highly recommend having a look at his.

Thanks for the link. Is your wiki public? I’d like to see it if it is. Did you end up choosing Twiki? I still have my attempts at Twiki hanging around http://www.maqx.com/twiki/bin/view.pl/Main/WebHome here. I can’t quite bring myself to delete it yet…
Nope, it isn’t public, since I use it mainly for collaborative work on certain closed (for now) projects. I did choose twiki in the end, because once I had it installed and “fine-tuned” (a lot of work for both), my time investment warranted spending at least a little more effort in learning how to use it. In the end, it provided a lot of bang for my buck, and was just the perfect balance of functionality with ease-of-use. I’m very particular about such matters, and this was the best wiki I could find to suit my exact needs. (Which is not to say it would be perfect for anybody else. It’s overkill for most people, no doubt.)
If you’ve already gone through the motions of installing it, I’d suggest giving it a go. I’m a little more impressed every time I use it.
If you want to see my conclusions about twiki and other wiki apps, just do a search on the right for “twiki” and you’ll find them.
